Invitation - Beyond the Lisbon Treaty

The Federal Trust is pleased to invite LDEG members to a conference entitled "The European Parliament in an Enlarged EU: Beyond the Lisbon Treaty" with opening address by LDEG president Andrew Duff MEP. The event is on Friday, 25 April 2008, 14.00 - 17.30 and is to be followed by a reception.

Venue: London Metropolitan University, 31 Jewry Street, London. EC3N 2EY.

Opening address by Andrew Duff MEP: "The European Parliament and the European demos".

Further speakers include Dr Andreas Maurer, Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik Berlin; Dermot Scott, Head of the European Parliament Office in the UK; Professor Simona Piattoni, University of Trento; Professor Edward Best, European Institute of Public Administration, Maastricht; and Brendan Donnelly, The Federal Trust.
