European Parliamentary Elections 2009

5.43.54pm BST (GMT +0100) Sun 12th Aug 2007

Liberal Democrats will soon be selecting candidates for the European Parliament for the 2009 elections. All eligible party members will have a vote to elect candidates for their region and there will be a chance to ask questions at hustings. Your local party will have details of these. There will also be members-only electronic hustings on the party's main website. Members will receive ballot papers and manifesto booklets by post in late September or early October. Individual candidates may also contact you. Ballot papers with candidates numbered in order of preference need to be returned by November 7th and we aim to have party lists in place by the end of the year.
