Julie Smith, Carol Weaver, Ambassador Gurbanov, William Wallace

Ambassador Gurbanov of Azerbaijan spoke to one of LDEG's fringe events this year at Bournemouth. His speech on EU-Azerbaijani relations encompassed how Azerbaijan is working towards EU values and structures. It can be read in full on our briefings page. Our other speakers were Lord William Wallace who spoke about the implications of recent events in Georgia and Dr Julie Smith who kept us informed of party policy with regard to working with our European partners on conflict resolution in the neighbourhood. The event was chaired by LDEG's Carol Weaver.
